Russia may offer Algeria MiG-35s following return of MiG-29s
The chief executive officer of Russia's MiG Corporation, Anatoly Belov, has said that Russia may supply its latest-generation MiG-35 fighter aircraft to Algeria instead of MiG-29s, according to a 29 May report from Russian state-owned news service FC Novosti. According to the report, during the ILA International Aerospace Exhibition 2008 in Berlin Belov said that, "instead of the 15 MiG-29 fighters that have been returned to Russia, the country may supply to Algeria its newest multipurpose fighters: [the] MiG-35"
